The Suite

The only downstairs sleeping quarters, this three-room suite includes a bedroom, large family room and small bathroom with a shower stall. The family room was the third stall of the carriage shed until the early 1980's, when it was transformed into a large living room with a spectacular view of the large, colorful backyard Japanese maple tree. The bedroom, as evidenced by the coat rack above the bed, used to be the mud room leading into the kitchen. The small, functional bathroom used to be the pot pantry. Now, this electric-heated area serves as a seasonal suite set aside for winter guests. The Sandersons enjoy the space so much during the warm summer months that they're reluctant to give it up even for a weekend, but do rent it in the summer nonetheless.
