Tavern Keeper's Quarters
Today, this formal parlor is a library/study. During tavern days,
it was the tavernkeeper's bedroom, located a door away from the taproom. The formal, early 19th century candlestick andirons were handed down over many generations through a prominent Greenfield family. The library contains a
collection of local town histories, important early New
England historical sources, and genealogical sources on
Connecticut Valley families. Amateur genealogists staying
at Old Tavern Farm can page through the books to assist
them in finding long-lost ancestors.
